Webkinz is crashing!

Panic! Every girl between the ages of 3 and 10, including my daughters, is trying to register the new Webkinz they got for Christmas today. The Web site is crashing faster than cars on I-95 after an inch of snow.
Webkinz is the answer to a dad’s dream: Cheap, wholesome entertainment. Here’s the Christmas gift rundown in the Kid You Not household: three Webkinz and a boatload of nearly new Barbie stuff scored by my wife off Freecycle. Total cost: $30. And the kids are none the wiser.
Ho! Ho! Ho!

Thank you for writing this! I cannot believe Ganz was so ill-prepared for the traffic to its site. Didn't they read their own publicity in the last few months??
The issue we have now is my son got all the way to the end of registering his pet before the server crashed (again). Now he can log in, but immediately gets a message saying "Webkinz is unavailable" and is logged out. My daughter is able to log in to her account, which was established a month ago.
This is completely unacceptable from any company, but it is especially worse when it involves kids' Christmas presents. Please post any updates you receive.
Thanks!
